All us "Crosspoint girls" were in a Dream Team (aka Bible Study Group) together. During Dream Team time, we did a Bible Study and played some crazy games (Keypad, Spaghetti and Meatballs, and Land Whale Watching were the names of a few of them). These pics are of us with our Dream Team girlfriends (Abby and Faith), our whole Dream Team, us with our Dream Team leader (Ste
phen), and our whole Dream Team.

I got back from camp on Friday. I had such an awesome time!! Rebekah left for Summersalt yesterday, and my friend and I were so jealous. We wanted so badly to go back!! The whole camp - games, Bible studies, meeting new people - was amazing, but probably the best part was getting to know the people from my youth group a lot better. Thanks for your prayers!! I'll try to post some camp pictures soon!!
Just wanted to let ya'll know that I, along with four other guys and gals from youth group, will be gone to camp this week. Please pray that God will speak to us, that we will get closer to each other, and that we won't die of heat strokes (the camp is one of the hottest places in the state I believe!! :/)!! Talk to ya'll when I get back!!
Quick question you guys. Why is it that when I think I've written something good, I seem to have to go back and correct myself?? I'm hoping that this is a sign of a learner, not one of a stupid person! Anyways, my "greater realization" happened tonight, while at a youth meeting. John Piper (on a video) was teaching on not wasting your life. He was beating on retired people who, as he said, are "bridging and shuffle boarding and golfing their way into heaven" (something along those lines anyways), meaning that they essentially waste the rest of their life playing, instead of using that unique opportunity to serve God. This made me thing of the last thing I posted. I realized that for me, summer is the closest thing I can compare retirement to right now. And, to my distress, it seemed that I was stating that the way not to waste summer was to "make memories, laugh a lot, spend time with those you care about". While this is all well and good, yes, even important, it is not how our summers should be entirely spent. During the summer, we have unique opportunities we don't get during the school year. This time of "retirement" should not be spent all on play. We should be striving to serve Jesus and make a positive impact upon those around us. That is the only way our summer will not be wasted.
You guys, the other day I just realized that this summer is my third-to-last summer at home. Wow. In a couple of years, everything is going to be so different! I really want to enjoy these last few summers that I have here. I know that so often we take things, like summers with our families, for granted, without realizing that they don't last forever. So I encourage ya'll to have a great summer; don't waste it. We never know which will be our last summer with certain people, at a certain place, ever. Make memories, laugh a lot, spend time with those you care about. And have an unforgettable summer!!
YAY!! From June 16-20th, I get to go to Summersalt, a camp, with some folks from my youth group! The two girls I'm rooming with are also going to go with me on a mission trip in July, so it'll be good to get to know each other better through camp. I'll have to take some pics to post on here once I get back.
