Back from Georgia

I just got back from an overnight trip to McRae, GA for my cousin's, Birttanie, high school graduation (way to go Britt!!). I can't believe she's done with high school, but what's even scarier is that I'm next! Yikes! Anyways, it was a lot of fun spending that little bit of time with my family. I got to spend the night with my cousins (Brittanie, Breanna, and Blair); we stayed up until 2:30 am, so I'm just a little tired today. Josh, my five-year-old cousin is spending this week with us. It should be interesting, as you never can tell what will happen with Josh around lol! Have a great Lord's Day tomorrow ya'll!!

Hunting Island Vacation

In the middle of May, my family and our friends went to Hunting Island, SC for a week camping at the beach. We had a lot of fun visiting the salt marshes, climbing to the top of Hunting Island Lighthouse, eating seafood and Brewster's ice cream, making a movie (but as usual, it was never finished lol), and spending hours playing at the ocean. Here are the "Pirkbey Kids" inside the lighthouse.

On the Top of the World

After climbing around 170 steps to the top of the lighthouse, we were rewarded with a spectacular view of the island. It was so pretty! My legs were shaking though, by the time I got to the top!

REPEL!!

I hate mosquitoes!! I coated myself with bug spray to keep these pesky varmints are far from me as possible every time I stepped out of our camper.

Boogie Boarding

I'll admit that I'm not the best boogie boarder... my timing always seems to be way off, but I had a lot of fun "riding the waves" while we were at Hunting Island. But Katie and Hannah, man!, those girls had it going on! I'm afraid I'm a bit envious of their boogie boarding talents lol.

Beach Football Fun!

One of the funnest things we did was play football on the beach! Since none of us kids could really throw the ball, Mr. Gene quarterbacked for both teams. This picture is of our intense line of scrimmage.
